The Barflies had one of their most successful Row-A-Thon events in recent history raising $500 for their charity, United Rehabilitation Services. The fraternity had brothers row in the moat for 24 hours from noon Wednesday, September 20th through noon on Thursday, September 21st. Through the 24 hour period, we raised $500 that was presented to URS this past week. The fraternity does this charity event twice a year in the fall and spring quarters to raise money for the same charity that they have supported for over 20 years.

The Gin Mill came alive Friday, October 20 with many different costumes and the Greek community having a great time at the largest Halloween Party at WSU for 39 years. The tradition remains alive as over 400 Greeks and their guests came to celebrate Halloween, Barfly-style. The Barflies would like to extend their thanks to all Greek organizations for making this year's Pumpkin Hunt as successful as ever. Many comments were made on how well the party went over. Look for the Barflies to throw their Winter Party, St. Valentine's Day Massacre in February. To make sure you get on the guest list, RUSH BARFLY Winter Quarter! | 11/09/06 | BETA TAU PLEDGE AUCTION | Posted by: Will Taylor |
|
The five remaining members of the Beta Tau Pledge Class auctioned themselves off tonight to raise money for our charity URS. Will Hoskins, Chris Little, Eli Patrick, Greg Wack, and Justin Williams all stepped up to the stage and put on a show to raise as much money as they could tonight at The Dive Beach Club in Fairborn. Props goes out to each one of them for a great laugh and for raising money for a great cause. They raised nearly $100 for URS. Each pledge class is required to hold a fundraiser to raise money for our philanthropy each quarter to teach them the value of what we do with United Rehabilitation Services. Thanks goes out to the brothers who organized this event with them and The Dive Beach Club.

| 11/10/06 | BARFLY FOOTBALL DOMINATES | Posted by: Will Taylor |
|
The Barflies went undefeated for the second year in a row to win the IFC All-Fraternity Football Tournament. This annual tradition keeps the fraternities socially active with each other through some competitive sport, with the football tournament happening on Veteran's Day each year, due to the university being closed. The tradition saw well over 150 fraternity guys come out and about 30 sorority girls to cheer us on. The Barflies also won last year's tournament. Props to all the guys who played and we look forward to some more competitive play come spring for the IFC All-Fraternity Softball Tournament on Memorial Day
