O2 Academy Birmingham

The O2 Academy Birmingham (previously the Carling Academy) is a great place to see gigs, they host a huge range of bands and a large mix of genres throughout 3 separate rooms. I have seen many bands at the venue and each time have been impressed.

The only complaint I would have about the venue is drinks prices when gigs are one (when compared to, say, club nights) and the fact that, upon forgetting a ticket to a gig, there was no amount of proof of purchase that I could provide that would allow me access without purchasing another ticket. The member of box office staff I dealt with at the particular time was very unhelpful and proceeded to make a personal call half way through our conversation. However, that was not the fault of the venue in general.

So, in conclusion, go to gigs at this venue - just remember to bring your ticket!!
